during my stay, the hotel provided a peaceful atmosphere with its quiet surroundings and was just a few steps away from Nijo Castle, allowing me to stroll through its beautiful gardens, while the nearby Sanjo shopping arcade was perfect for grabbing coffee and gelato after a day of exploring.

moldy smell

cramped room

i was really expecting a luxurious stay, but instead found an unventilated bathroom with a moldy smell. unbelievable! the room was very, very cramped, and there was no place to eat or work, just a kitchenette that felt like an afterthought. it would’ve been nice to at least receive an upgrade or some kind of compensation, but clearly, that’s too much to ask.

I loved my stay here. the room was spacious and had a lovely separation for the toilet and bath for that onsen-style relaxation. Plus, the amenities were top-notch with handy kitchenware! I just wish they had provided more towels, it was a hassle to deal with that.

We really enjoyed the spacious rooms for Japan, and the flat-screen tv was a hit with the kids. The small kitchen allowed us to prepare some meals which helped save time and money. Plus, the location was perfect for exploring Kyoto with the family.

My children wanted a bit more space to move around.
